World Citizenship As a human being born into the United States of America I all too predictably fell victim to the indoctrination and brainwashing process that leads nearly all U.S. citizens to believe that "America is the greatest nation on Earth." I can understand how people outside of America can think that quite preposterous, especially now, but believe me it is all too easy when you are surrounded by citizens who virtually all believe the same. What can I say, I was a fool. But eventually I came into consciousness and realized that my birth nation was in fact the greatest terrorist of the 20th and 21st centuries and as such had done more to destroy popular democratic movements around the globe than any nation in existence. When I came to this understanding I started to look at the meaning of citizenship, I came to understand the legal ramification of maintaining citizenship in the United States... and I decided I could not, in good conscience, maintain U.S. citizenship. At the same time I realized that there was possibly no nation that I could give the ultimate allegiance required by nation/state citizenship. The only exception I am aware of at this point is the Hawaiian nation, a fledgling, reborn nation that I have participated in reinstating and conscientiously sworn allegiance to. Not even the nation of Ireland, which I love and respect and have acquired citizenship. It is the nation I am blessed to obtain a passport with, unless I remained a U.S. citizen I would simply have no ability to exercise the inherent human right to travel. The choice for me was more than obvious, thank you Ireland. But both nations do not have my ultimate allegiance, that allegiance is reserved for the planet to which I was born, a planet born of no borders and no nations, a planet that will undoubtedly end with one human family, one family of life. And to this whole I am loyal, I shall not in this life or the next swear allegiance to any one element of this family, my ultimate allegiance is to the whole. That is not negotiable, it is my being. And that is the essence of my brand of world citizenship. At the end of the day, I shall not be compelled to pay for, or in any way contribute to, the destruction of those things held dear by all life. My love and commitment is to all life. In the simplest terms I believe in the "Golden Rule", If ever I do something to others that I myself would never wish on myself, I defy true meaning of love that resides in my heart, my soul. With that understanding I have written and live the rights and obligations a world citizenship. 'World Citizen' Social Contract' I Kenneth O'Keefe hereby affirm my lawful status as a ‘human being’ before the law. I hereby declare 'ultimate allegiance' to my entire human family and to planet Earth. I hereby claim my birthright, the inherent human rights that are every human beings birthright. I hereby 'serve NOTICE' to the nation/state(s) of which I have been a citizen, that I am from this day forward, first and foremost, a 'world citizen'. Accordingly, I hereby accept the 'rights and obligations' of a world citizen including the freedom to exercise my birthright and the obligation to defend humanity’s collective birthright. I hereby 'renounce' any and all obligations that are injurious to the rights and obligations of a world citizen. In recognition of International Law, specifically the Universal Declaration
of Human I hereby recognize the mandate of the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights and affirm the following; Whereas at birth I was entered into a social contract that bound me to matters for which I could not possibly consider; Whereas lawful contracts require all parties to enter said contracts conscientiously, of their own free will, absent of coercion or duress, I hereby affirm that I shall not be bound, nor held liable for obligations of which I was entered into at birth or which caused me to unwittingly relinquish my birthright.
